The appointment is set. And then the preparation begins:

  • Going over your resume one more time.
  • Checking where and with whom you have the conversation.
  • And of course: what are you wearing?

Good preparation is more than half the battle. In a good pre-talk in the form of a mini job training, I prepare the candidate for their showtime. You don't want to be caught off guard by questions like:

  • What attracted you to our organization and why would you want to work here?
  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
  • What characteristics are you looking for in your team?
  • What are your less strong points and how can we help you develop them?
  • Do you have any questions for us?

How do you answer this systematically and smartly, so that you project confidence? No arrogance, no hot air, but being yourself and presenting yourself in the right way.

Whether you are a young professional or already have 10 years of experience: the right preparation always gives you an edge.

What is the most difficult or ridiculous question you have had during your job applications?
